What We Need from You
In order to provide an accurate appraisal, we will require the following details for each artwork:
- Name of artist
- Title of artwork
- Medium
- Size (without frame)
- Signature status (signed or not)
- Date of creation
- Frame style and condition
- Photographs of the front and back of the artwork
- A closeup photo of the signature
- An invoice for the artwork purchase (if available)
- Photos of any labels or stickers on the back to help determine provenance
It is generally more effective to bring the artwork to us at Wallack Galleries. We prefer to declare that we have seen and inspected the item in person. Additionally, an on-site visit may be advised for larger collections.
